Cheryl Dexter is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Martin with a Bachelor of Science in Education and endorsements in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education. She is a National Board Certified teacher and is currently working on her master's in Theory and Practices with Arkansas State University. She is in her eighth year at the Early Childhood Education Center. She taught Special Education for two years, and this is her fifth year in a pre-kindergarten classroom. She enjoys helping families at ECEC by presenting parent workshops to guide parents to become more involved in their child’s education. She has served as a mentor teacher for new teachers at ECEC, and she has also worked with student teachers from ICC. Mrs. Dexter was awarded as Teacher of Distinction with AEE and the CREATE Foundation.
